Insured payment extensions on financed programs
Can I request a payment extension?
There is an automatic grace period of 5-10 days (depending on the state) before a late fee is applied to the base monthly installment amount, no request necessary. Ascend is not able to grant additional payment extensions.
The applicable grace period and all late fee details are listed in the Premium Finance Agreement (PFA) document under the "Late charges" section.
Please note that overdue payments risk policy cancellation for non-payment, which can occur between 15-20 days (depending on the state) after a payment due date. We always recommend that the Insured submits payment by the due date to avoid late fees and non-payment cancelation.
